In 1995, Jacquelyn was named artist in residence at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Ontario. The appointment was in the area of sacred dance, harp and voice at this historic cathedral, blending art, music and spirituality.
While serving in this role at St. Paul’s, Jacquelyn played harp with original music at a memorial service following the death of Princess Diana. She performed as part of the St. Francis Ensemble for the cathedral’s annual Mass for All Creatures, the music for which was recorded (see inset). Jacquelyn also toured England with a delegation from the church, performing a short concert at Canterbury Cathedral.

As Jacquelyn was making plans to tour in support of her second album, she received another unique invitation: to enter clinical pastoral education training at St. Joseph’s Health Care London, with the purpose of using her music to inspire, heal and comfort patients — especially those in palliative care. To further develop her skills for this role, Jacquelyn enrolled in the International Harp Therapy Program, pioneered and directed by U.S.-based music therapist and recording artist Christina Tourin, based then in Mt. Shasta, California. The program produced two albums.
The first, Millennium: Music for the Soulstice (available on Apple Music and Amazon; see inset), incorporated 22 tracks, to which Jacquelyn contributed an original instrumental, Dreamscapes. The second, Treasures of the Heart, contained 19 tracks, including Jacquelyn’s original song Bed of Roses.

Both were chosen “for therapeutic healing and recovery … designed to lift the soul, inspire positive attitudes and promote healing of the mind and body.”
Jacquelyn’s work combined her convergence and transition skills with harp therapy in settings that included the three great natural transitions of life: birthing, weddings and dying. During her appointments at St. Joseph’s and St. Paul’s, Jacquelyn trained as a reiki practitioner under Deborah Carter, achieving Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Usui reiki during the 1990s. Jacquelyn was part of Carter’s reiki healing team, going to private homes, hospitals and ICUs in order to aid patient transitions. Jacquelyn trained in Levels 1 and 2 in Karuna reiki in the early 2000s. She continues to be part of Carter’s reiki distant healing team.
Jacquelyn composed and performed the soundtrack for Not a Day Goes By, a video produced by St. Joseph’s Health Care, focusing on the hospital’s work with palliative patients.
Jacquelyn’s first loves have always been movement and music. They continue to be integral parts of her life’s journey. At the root of her being are the love of family and the soul of a spiritual traveller. Jacquelyn invites other spiritual pilgrims to join her, through her recordings, on a journey of the heart.
